leave, abort, and snicker...

yeah, just a quick comment, i just watched a series of interviews from all over the gambit of philosophy, political commentary (obviously), and other news making themes. and i've gotta say that american interviewers are typically not trying to ask a question. europeans are trying to confront, then of course appease. and the civilized world, or the third world at large is just glad to get face time, jabbing when they can. and putting people in uncomfortable positions right at the end. seriously, check out some interviews of some influential politicos, say some blowhard like jimmy carter, or say george shultz (who's an unabashed hawk, yet decided to get together with a couple of other hawks [namely kissinger] recently and sponsor legislation, write op-eds calling for a nuclear free world) and check how they're being received by interviewers. it's insightful. shit, pick your fave politico, check their reception.
makes me wanna travel and quite literally leave the country...learn a new language, submit to unfavorable weather, eat cheese, meat, and bread. anyway. if there is an election this year, it won't be on my mind. although i gotta politicize sustaining members at the old slave (60's slang for a j o b,) there, i'm still keeping that to 'what kinda world do ya wanna live in?' stance. totally borrowed from chomsky. as in; if you think barrack obama can lead us into a war with pakistan, afghanistan, and probably into conflict with russian and china (which he's made plain,) then you must believe the US is completely undemocratic and public opinion here is irrelevant...
the world i wanna live in is irresistible, as in the old che quote:
"the role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible"
lets take it further, without the pronouncement about what "artists" are supposed to do, but let's take the idea of irresistability and ground it.
good people, good place (the way i define that is by checking on the buildings where you live, did those builders wanna live there?) and trajectory. and for fuck's sake live there...
kinda old hat, i admit...but life's short people, and i'm only gonna be in my twenties for another year and three months!
